PROJECT ENTITY: IEEE Solid-State Circuits Thailand Chapter

Communities in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province, Thailand, particularly in districts such as Bang Ban and Sena, face severe flooding during the monsoon season, resulting in property damage, economic disruption, and the risk of loss of life.

A student team from Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi, working through the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Thailand Chapter and in partnership with the Thai Embedded Systems Association, is developing a water-level monitoring and flood-warning system for communities in water-retention areas. The system will combine IoT water level sensors, AI-based image processing, and long-range wireless communication to collect and transmit real-time water level data. A monitoring dashboard and alerts through the LINE application will notify residents and relevant authorities when water levels exceed designated thresholds, helping communities prepare for potential flooding and evacuate when necessary. Solar-powered monitoring nodes will support continued operation in remote locations.

The project also includes community training and long-term maintenance planning to help communities use and sustain the system after deployment.
