Farmers in Village Paya Kelubi, Padang Besar, Perlis, Malaysia, face challenges with traditional, inefficient irrigation methods that lead to water wastage and high operational costs. There is a need for sustainable agricultural practices, including energy-efficient water management and maintenance solutions for solar-powered systems.

The project team, consisting of IEEE DEIS Malaysia and IEEE Universiti Malaysia Perlis Student Branch, is developing and implementing an intelligent irrigation system. This system integrates solar panel cooling and self-cleaning solutions to promote greener agriculture and enhance resource efficiency.

The expected outcome is the successful implementation of a sustainable and efficient intelligent irrigation system. This will result in reduced water consumption, lower energy costs, improved crop yields, and foster greener agricultural practices, ultimately benefiting approximately 300 people in the long term.
