Continuing a Life’s Work: EPICS in IEEE and the Dr. Swarn S. Kalsi Memorial Fund
EPICS in IEEE is honored to help carry forward the legacy of IEEE Life Fellow Dr. Swarn S. Kalsi, a pioneer in superconducting magnet technology and a devoted champion of hands-on engineering education. Through a generous gift from the Kalsi family, the EPICS in IEEE Dr. Swarn S. Kalsi Community of Projects fund has been established to empower multidisciplinary student teams around the world as they design real-world solutions that benefit their local communities.
We are deeply grateful for this remarkable investment in the next generation of engineers, and for the way it reflects Dr. Kalsi’s belief that “engineers build the future” and that education can transform lives. This fund will provide long-term support for service-learning projects that advance technology for humanity while honoring Dr. Kalsi’s life, work, and values.
